By leading the lost to Christ and helping Christian officers grow in their relasionship to Christ, they are strengthened and moral improves.
The Chaplain Division works to accomplish this goal by simply being there as a Christian friend and meeting needs one-on-one. The most important ingredient of the program is the love of God shown through the Chaplains themselves. Believing that god is the answer to man's dilemma, the Chaplains stands ready to bear witness to the forgiving love and redeeming power of God to all people confronted with crisis. The Chaplain Division seeks to serve mankind and honor God. "In as much as you have done it to the least of these, my brothers, you have done it unto me." Each day the members of the Police Department Chaplain Division are busy living out that commandment.
